Meet our October Employee Spotlight, Senior Project Manager Matt Lombardi. Matt comes to Plus Group with over 35 years of project management experience in the pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical industries. Matt has worked as a Project Executive and Project Manager for several of the largest pharmaceutical companies in the world on projects ranging from $2M renovations to $200M greenfield facilities, with several projects nominated for ISPE’s Facility of the Year Award.
In the two months since he joined Plus Group, Matt has been assimilating into the company and getting to know his colleagues in the project management group. He manages two pharmaceutical facility expansion projects and enjoys interacting with cross-functional team members from various engineering disciplines.
Matt holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from the New Jersey Institute of Technology and became an Automation and Electrical Design Engineer before becoming a Project Manager. His interest in all things electrical began at age 7 when he attempted to repair an extension cord at his parent’s house, which resulted in a large shower of sparks and a blown a fuse.
Matt brings tremendous knowledge to the Plus Group and is a true team player dedicated to building strong partnerships with his clients. His ability to manage projects at any stage of development and his technical background has made him an asset to our clients and team. Professionally, he’s most rewarded when he’s able to collaborate with other engineering disciplines to achieve customer success. But what motivates him the most is his wife, who has been married 26 years and being a father to their four sons.
